Bio

I’m Yuqin, a graphic designer and illustrator who is currently pursuing my graduate degree in graphic design at ArtCenter College of Design. Having a wide range of interests, I decided visual communication is the passion of my life after years of self-exploration and different trials. As a designer, I aim to create visual pleasure, to convey my voice through my works and make a difference in the world. I identify myself as a designer, an artist, a fan-girl and a feminist and my brain consists of three main parts: Beauty, Freedom and Love which are the source of all my passions and angers. “Beauty will save the world.”

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Transferring into graphic design in graduate degree. (And translating an 80,000-words fiction into Chinese recently.)

2. How are creativity and innovation related?

Creativity is a must but doesn't necessarily lead to innovation. Creativity, along with deep research, a strict plan, persistence, others' suggestions and execution can make innovation happen.

3. Why do companies need clarity and creativity?

Clarity is essential in teamwork for communication and efficiency. Creativity can help a company keep optimizing the workflow and finding better solutions. And when the company is a creative studio, creativity is undoubtedly one of the most important things.

4. You have 30 minutes of free time. What do you do with it?

Play Just Dance on switch.

5. What is one risky and bold goal in life you have? Or, if you could dedicate your life to solving one problem, what would it be?

I want to become an art director in an entertainment company who is in charge of concepts and design of albums, music videos, styling and so on.

6. Explain your creative process

1.Do deep researches and find as many points of view as possible. 2. Look for references and moodboards. 3. Build the strategy, list out all my final deliverables and make a plan of my design process. 4. Start to try out some key visuals in the form of posters or postcards. Go several rounds and get suggestions. 5. Decide on my direction, do the refinement and expand on the contents. 6. Figure out the best way to tell my story.

7. What is the best advice that you have been given?

If you worry, you suffer twice.

8. What is your definition of creativity?

The feature that gives us moments of passion and excitement. It gives us freedom from daily routine, subjectivity as a creator and desire to express ourselves or tell a story.

9. What 10 songs are on your favorite playlist right now?

Girl Rock – Epik High Viva La Vida – Coldplay End to Start – NCT127 New Romantics – Taylor Swift 流浪诗人 – Jay Chou Art Deco – Lana Del Rey Natural – Imagine Dragons YESTODAY-Extended Version – NCT U Cruel Summer – Taylor Swift DEADSTAR – ASH ISLAND

10. How do you want people to remember you?

Knowledgable and inspirational.

Have you been convicted of a crime and/or a felony? If so, what was the offense? State the city, country, and date.
