What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

I graduated from the School of Visual Arts with honors and received Silas H. Rhodes Merit Scholarship (highest scholarship for four years) and multiple term honors (top 5%) in the past. I'm currently enrolled in Type@Cooper Extended Program, and will receive a type design certificate by the end of the study.

10. If you could solve one problem in the world what would it be?

What's the most courageous thing you've ever done?

Decided to study art and design abroad. I grew up in a normal household in mainland China, and luckily I have very supportive and loving parents who were willing to send out their only daughter to a different city in China at the age of 15, and supported her decision to study design in college. Being away from my parents is especially hard during the pandemic, but I believe I'm doing the right thing staying in the US to continue my study of type design.

How are creativity and innovation related?

I think sometimes they are very similar things. Innovation is usually what other people outside of the design process observe, and creativity is the cause of the innovation. Usually the creatives need to put in tones of work to make something "innovative" to others' eyes.

Why do companies need clarity and creativity?

Because customers know the differences. Details are what set the companies apart. Often time the amount of effort the companies are willing to put on the storytelling and creativity is correlated with the how much they value themselves.

You have 30 minutes of free time. What do you do with it?

Drawing and sketching type while listening to cello. Sometimes I spend hours or even the whole day just doing lettering on my iPad. Best days.

What is one risky and bold goal in life you have? Or, if you could dedicate your life to solving one problem, what would it be?

I wanna redesign the logos for the luxury brands that all have the bland and ugly san serif logos now. I'll be very well paid.

Explain your creative process

Break things down. Put them back together. Break them down again. Put them back together differently. Eat some (many) desserts and doubt myself. Repeat the process until the due date.

What is the best advice that you have been given?

Always think about what have I learnt from the project / during the process. It keeps me motivated to learn something new and always challenge myself. Also, don't look when you through away food you left in the fridge over a month.

What is your definition of creativity?

90% of self doubt but you have to get these ideas out of your head and keep creating, because you love what you are doing and don't wanna live your life any other way.

I hope people think I'm funny and easy-going. Also because we are all meeting online due to Covid, I hope people think I'm at least 5'6".
