Bio

My name is Isabel Borbon, almost the stereotypical Taurus, but way less lazy. Wired on caffeine. I am a soon to be graduate from Calfornia State University, Sacramento with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design. I lived in Mexico until I was thirteen then moved to the U.S., I live in constant conflict on where I belong since it is almost split in half by the years. I was introduced to graphic design in 2016, during my senior year of high school, so I took my shot at it during University and got into the CSUS Design program in 2018. Then I realized graphic design is a wonderful world of self-discovery but also needs a lot of hard work. Also, I am constantly influenced by music, especially music video concepts, I find it fascinating that harmonies and beats can be translated into so many factors from set design to record packaging. I hope to one day become a designer that inspires others to keep working on their craft no matter how terrible it might look at the beginning, because it is something I am constantly searching for with the grandiose designers.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Skills

Languages Spoken: English and Spanish, fluent in both.Awards: Winner of "Drink This and Vote" Beer Label Competition.

1. What's the most courageous thing you've ever done?

The most courageous thing I have probably done is accept to move to a different country knowing I would have difficulties with the language and the community. While I pretended that I was comfortable in that new setting, I eventually decided to accept that new journey and accept that the future could always change in any moment.

2. How are creativity and innovation related?

Without creativity there is no innovation. Humans could not solve their problems without experimenting multiple routes of solutions. Creativity is exploration, trial, and error with the hope that we can evolve and be better than the past.

3. Why do companies need clarity and creativity?

Companies need clarity in order to define their objectives, purpose, and what their target audience is. Creativity is necessary for them to know what exactly will keep their audience engaged and loyal.

4. You have 30 minutes of free time. What do you do with it?

If I were to have 30 minutes of free time I would probably take 10 minutes to take a nap, 10 minutes to make a coffee and a meal, and the remaining 10 minutes would probably be dedicated to either listening to music or go outside to take a breath.

5. What is one risky and bold goal in life you have? Or, if you could dedicate your life to solving one problem, what would it be?

One risky goal I have in my life is to never live in one place for more than 8 years once I finish school until I am about to retire. Also, to at least learn two more languages before it is too late.

6. Explain your creative process

My creative process starts from research, mainly depends on the project but it usually circles around the creative brief, client, and the objective. Mind maps are always useful, it is good to start with words. After the word research is over, I move to visual boards and sketching (usually with music playing to stay hyper-focused). After the concept is chosen, a round of refinements on paper are done before moving to a computer.

7. What is the best advice that you have been given?

The best advice I have been given is that you have as many limits as you set for yourself, always ask questions. And whatever you ask of the universe, is already yours.

8. What is your definition of creativity?

My definition of creativity is that it can be a direct result of experimentation, knowing that there will be failures, and questioning the world around you.

9. What 10 songs are on your favorite playlist right now?

Selene - NIKI Autumn Leaves - BTS Luna - Zoe Noir - Sunmi Nice Out - Kilo Kish Sweet Crazy Love - Loona Delete Forever - Grimes Wanderlust - The Weeknd Dayfly - Dean Cigarette - offonoff

10. How do you want people to remember you?

I would like people to remember me as someone that they are comfortable with and can trust, whether as a friend or as a teammate holding a responsability.

Have you been convicted of a crime and/or a felony? If so, what was the offense? State the city, country, and date.
