What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

What's the most courageous thing you've ever done?

The most courageous thing I have done this year was to quit my job at a digital advertising agency during a pandemic as I just felt that I was designing stuff just to churn content for the sake of it. There was not much questioning or research to the work that I did so I wasn’t creatively challenged and I began to feel that my creativity was stagnant.

How are creativity and innovation related?

I think both words have similar connotations, in which it suggests that something new can be formed. To me, creativity suggests new ways of thinking or doing things. Innovation is the rigorous process of applying the new ways of thinking or doing things. Hence, they both go hand in hand.

Why do companies need clarity and creativity?

I think most companies, regardless of what they are or what they do, communicates a message or represents an idea/value. It is imperative for them to have clarity and figure out creative ways to do so to make their audience understand who they are as a company and what they are trying to do.

You have 30 minutes of free time. What do you do with it?

What is one risky and bold goal in life you have? Or, if you could dedicate your life to solving one problem, what would it be?

I would dedicate my life to solve the problem of textile waste.

Explain your creative process

I start off with defining the issue or the problem at stake. After that I think of ways to solve the problem at hand. And then it’s a long process of iterations and thinking of unconventional ways to solve the problem. And then I start to think of ways to communicate the solution or solution(s) of the problem to the intended audience. And then we take it to the test! Prototyping, putting the ideas into action! And lastly, creating the final output of the solution at its best.

What is the best advice that you have been given?

The best advice that I’ve ever received is probably from my tutor in university which was “Ask yourself, in 5 years time, will this still matter?”

What is your definition of creativity?

To me creativity is simply the art of doing things differently.
