Bio

Hello, my name is Brian Rodriguez and I recently graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Graphic Design. I'm a 26 year old who grew up in Miami Florida, currently going back and forth between Atlanta and Savannah Georgia. I have a deep passion for graphic design( specifically branding, typography and editorial design), basketball(Miami Heat), coffee and watching Wes Anderson/Christopher Nolan movies(two of my favorite directors). With my design career, I’m striving to find a way to travel the world and pickup little design design techniques from each and every city I visit.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

1. What's the most courageous thing you've ever done?

A little over a year ago I traveled by myself to Hong Kong to study abroad. Up to this point in my life, it was the best decision I've ever made. It opened my eyes to see how other people live and function in a city like Hong Kong, and it allowed me to travel to Tokyo Japan - which was amazing!

2. How are creativity and innovation related?

The world is constantly changing. New things are constantly popping up. These are two things that constantly effect the way people view and process ideas and visuals. Being able to create something new that someone has seen before is also being innovative and creating and experience that is one of a kind.

3. Why do companies need clarity and creativity?

Every company has a different message they are trying to send. Each company is perceived differently by every person. With this in mind, they need to have a clear identity and process when creating things that are going to go out into the world for people to see.

4. You have 30 minutes of free time. What do you do with it?

Brew some coffee first! Put on a cozy outfit, throw on some headphones in and walk around and take in what ever is happening around me.

5. What is one risky and bold goal in life you have? Or, if you could dedicate your life to solving one problem, what would it be?

One of the bigger goals I have in life is to move to Japan and work there for a year or two. So much of my work is inspired by the city of Tokyo and its design/fashion/street culture. The amount of detail that is put into everything they do is so amazing and inspiring. The way they are ahead of every trend is something that needs to be experienced and lived in.

6. Explain your creative process

First I start with some quick research on what or who I'm designing for. Second, I start to build a mood board and begin to sketch up some ideas in my sketch book. From there, I take these sketches and ideas to the computer and begin to work. Lately with projects, I use Are.na and create multiple boards on potential design routes I plan on taking with the current project.

7. What is the best advice that you have been given?

So cliche, but just do it and see what happens. If its a good experience, ride with that experience and build from it. If its a bad one - now you know and you could always find something to pull from a bad experience.

8. What is your definition of creativity?

Being able to create something that shines a new light on a idea. Spark an idea and thinking process in someones head that hasn't yet been sparked.

9. What 10 songs are on your favorite playlist right now?

1. Goodbye Blue by BADBADNOTGOOD & Jonah Yano 2. Nervous by Jonah Yano 3. Come On by Mk.Gee 4. Wheel by Mk.Gee 5. Limbo by Joesef 6. You're Too Precious by James Blake 7. Underclass by King Krule 8. Snow Child by The Weeknd 9. Delilah by Aeris Roves 10. Dear April by Frank Ocean

10. How do you want people to remember you?

That I'm an honest and kind person.

Have you been convicted of a crime and/or a felony? If so, what was the offense? State the city, country, and date.
