Trained in the classical arts, my design approaches fuse the history of design with contemporary tools, golden ratio applications, and the Science of Perception and Illusion. I have an advanced ability to produce targeted messaging with a variety of output methods of highly refined image and motion pieces.

1. What's the most courageous thing you've ever done?

I graduated early and set out my own path out of high school in search of a craft to dedicate myself too. Graphic design and visual communication is where I landed after working as a professional photographer, glassblower and picture frame designer among other things.

2. How are creativity and innovation related?

Innovation can not be possible without creativity. Where innovation involves creating something new. The process of creating has reached a point where if one trained such as myself is implemented along the process of innovation; the product has the potential to touch the audience on a subconscious and biological level.

3. Why do companies need clarity and creativity?

Companies need to convey a consistent personality or tone to connect with their target audience. Their messaging must be direct and clear so the audience understands the product or service, where creativity draws attention and elevates the company.

4. You have 30 minutes of free time. What do you do with it?

Touch up on skills and industry via. skillshare, youtube, awwwards, thedieline, typewolf, tutorial, articles, etc. . OR Work on side project. OR Sketch things, ideas, new side project.

5. What is one risky and bold goal in life you have? Or, if you could dedicate your life to solving one problem, what would it be?

If I could dedicate my life to solving one problem, it would be related to our societal system. I would like to improve or build bridges for people and communities to access higher-learning, job opportunities, and public wellness.

6. Explain your creative process

My creative process starts with research. Sociology; the people, beliefs and goals; the environment, visual trends, buildings, and shapes. Visual Art and Communication; how can we grab attention and show belonging, how can we communicate, how can we innovate, what is our aesthetic and visual solution system.

7. What is the best advice that you have been given?

Your health is the most important thing! My dedication can keep me up for hours. I worked on a physical illustration for 36 hours straight. Where these extended periods are sometimes great for creative work, it is an unsustainable lifestyle, and these situations should be approached with care.

8. What is your definition of creativity?

Creativity is the act of brining energy and influence into the world. It usually involves aesthetic or pleasure but the best creativity involves function.
