Tell us why you're the best applicant in under 50 words
I think I would be the best applicant because for me, creating something is like trying to get yourself struck by lightning. You look bonkers to other people but it's something I love to do and a feeling I will never grow tired of.

Hey, I’m a multidisciplinary designer from Chicago. As simple Midwestern folk talking about myself makes me excessively sweaty, but expressing myself creatively has always been the one thing I can do without second-guessing myself. I grew up on a steady diet of comic books which is where I first began to understand and explore visual storytelling through imagery and text. It's the reason I have tried to maintain a connection to illustration and the print medium. but now I'm looking for the next thing. New opportunities to collaborate and learn, and hopefully share some of what I have to offer.
1. What's the most courageous thing you've ever done?
This is the first thing that comes to mind but in middle school my class was on a field trip and all my friends were swinging off a rope tied to a tree into a lake. After watching all of them all day long have the time of their lives, I eventually worked up the courage to try it even though I knew I was not physically strong enough to hold my weight at the time. But I tried it anyway. I ate shit and scarred up my legs but I walked away from the trip knowing I could at least say I got up and did it.
2. How are creativity and innovation related?
Creativity and innovation are symbiotic. The best creative innovates, and you can't innovate without being creative.
3. Why do companies need clarity and creativity?
Things are confusing enough as it is. The more people and companies know what they need to say and how they want to say it, the better off everyone is.
4. You have 30 minutes of free time. What do you do with it?
Put on some music and reorganize something that probably didn't need to be reorganized.
5. What is one risky and bold goal in life you have? Or, if you could dedicate your life to solving one problem, what would it be?
A goal of mine is to be credited as one of the many writers on a huge hit song so I can say I've technically won a Grammy.
6. Explain your creative process
I like finding all the edges and constraints to a project so I have something to bounce off of or push against. It's helpful for me to start with an "anything goes" attitude with sketching and ideation until something hits me as the undeniable choice.
7. What is the best advice that you have been given?
8. What is your definition of creativity?
The ability to see something other people haven't yet.
9. What 10 songs are on your favorite playlist right now?
Vagabond - Steve Gunn, Cars In Space - Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, 3am - HAIM, Walk to the One You Love - Twin Peaks, Roll With The Wind - Pavement, Songs For Joanna - Willie J Healey, Raven On White Cadillac - White Fence, Tall Man Skinny Lady - Ty Segall, Maria - Divino Niño, Cooking Up Something Good - Mac DeMarco
10. How do you want people to remember you?
I want them to remember what we laughed about.
